NOTE: This was my first car. It was at gift from my parents,
who purchased it new knowing it was the most fuel-efficient 5-person domestic
vehicle model available at the time. When I got back it May 1990 with
80,000 miles already on the odometer, the challenge to get the very best MPG
began (since I couldn't afford to waste money on gas). Since then, I've
learned how important reducing emissions is too.
NOTE: On 5-22-1993, I experimented with City verses Highway
MPG by filling up immediately after finishing that specific type of driving.
The values calculated may not be precise, since different gas pumps don't always
stop at the same point, but they still should be fairly close... or at least
enough to show there's a pronounced difference between the two types.
